Our distributor in the USA states this is one of the very best filters that he has ever seen! The Southwest Research testing process is run over 52 hours, at a temperature of 105c, adding very fine soot particles of 100-200 Nano size which are significantly smaller than a Micron.
This exacting test protocol follows the ISO 23356 guide lines. If other filter company’s claim they are in the same 80-90% range – then they are not following this test procedure accurately, and are probably using Micron sized soot - which does not work with this particular ISO test.
The 21.3% is an average over the 52 hours, but he was also impressed with the graph that shows it maintains the removal over the long haul.
